Carole Miles has been opening the doors of 

The Mollie, welcoming guests 

and exploring the changes on 

The Green Patch 

The weather can alter moment by moment

with a gust of wind

or a banking of cloud

colours settle

  shift

get caught between the branches of trees.

   There are late flowers in the Bee Garden 

and strange shapes captivate the eye.

There are moments of glorious colour,

the promise of soup and celebration

and seed heads awaiting hungry birds.

The volunteers are hard at work in the 

poly tunnels and raised beds, 

making the Green Patch ready 

for new sowings and growing.
