Horsing Around at Grange Place

A lovely up-cycling / recycling project at Grange Place, these plywood hobby horse heads came from the local scrap recycling store. They provided a great support for pattern making and paint. They were going to become planter markers at The Green Patch but everyone was so proud of their work they wanted to put them in their own gardens! You can see more here

Heart Felt

Carole worked with people at
Grange Place and The Green Patch

where pairs of felt hearts were chosen
and a design applied by needle felting.

Lots of care was taken not to stab fingers in the process!
The pairs of hearts were then sewn together, a small
gap was left open to add stuffing then sewn up.

If you would like to show someone a little love

Hearts and wild flowers, what could be nicer!

Meeting and Making Part 1

It was a gorgeous sunny afternoon and the Green Patch were having a picnic with a bit of a Halloween theme!

Our artists, Carole Miles and Phiona Richards took the opportunity to do some meeting and making for our View From Here project.

There were paper linch bags and insect stamps

for people to make their own Halloween Goody Bag

Nigel proudly displays his bag

Matthew made a bag for each of his brothers before setting off home for some spine tingling fun!

Each bag also contained one of our lovely Make, Do, Mend cards inviting the community from
Margaret Rd, Cora Rd, Doris Rd, Edith Rd, Judith Rd, Dorothy Rd, Jean Rd, Stamford Rd, Gorse Rd
Lime Rd, Ivy Rd, Centre Parade, Heather Rd, Aster Rd, Almond Rd, Dahlia Rd, Weekly Glebe Rd to join in the project. There will be further opportunities for making, doing and mending, along with talking and exploring so if you'd like to join in, watch this Blog or contact us to arrange a cuppa and a chat!
